Governance

EFARD is an informal network of representatives from groups of stakeholders from European nations and the European Commission with an interest in ARD. It is not a legal entity and has no official Statutes.

EFARD members do not pay a membership fee, but in general cover costs of activities themselves. The Forum is governed by a Steering Committee comprising about 10-15 persons representing a broad range of stakeholder groups and national fora of member countries. A Management Team comprising the Chair, Vice Chair and Executive Secretary of the Steering Committee is responsible for managing the Forum and acting on decisions on behalf of the Steering Committee. However, implementation of EFARD activities is generally the responsibility of the broader membership.
